Knapp Tea bowl
This roughly made, wood-fired tea bowl has many subtle variations in texture and in color. The surface would feel coarse in the hand. The broad body of the cup rises above a much narrower foot. Flames from the firing have created surfaces both smooth and gritty, in warm red and cool grey. The potter's touch is seen and felt.
